Chicago, IL- Block Club Chicago, the popular news outlet focusing on the Chicago area, released an article highlighting the new Midwest Coast Brewing Company retractable enclosure. As stated in the article, “During the pandemic, the brewery opened a makeshift patio in their parking lot, an arrangement that continued through 2022 and part of last year.” The article adds, “Now, Midwest Coast is opening a more permanent outdoor area: an expansive rooftop that will seat around 250 people.” That is a large increase in year-round revenue generation for the restaurant and brewery, thanks to its Roll-A-Cover retractable roof!
On cold, rainy and/or snowy Chicago days, the retractable glass roof closes. Therefore, guests can enjoy the rooftop bar with an outdoor ambiance. On beautiful days, the roof opens to the outdoors. Additionally, the rooftop area is now also used for events, which can be booked 365-days-a-year.
“It’s like a glass atrium up here. It’s almost like a greenhouse,” General Manager Ryan McKinley said. “I’m honestly more stoked for the snow globe effect of winter up here. We had a meeting a couple months ago and snow was coming down and you can see the whole skyline, you’ve got the train line coming in.”
The Midwest Coast Brewing Company retractable enclosure was manufactured by Roll-A-Cover and designed and installed by Chicago’s Viewpoint Enclosures.
